The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is beautiful year-round  but on Oct. 18, 2023, it was exceptionally beautiful. Colorful leaves were all around the mountainside; the reds, yellows and oranges made for an artists palette. Two days before, an unusually early snow dropped 3″on Clingmans Dome. The air was a mixture of cold air from the snow and warm air from the morning sun and it made for spectacular views with pockets of fog all throughout the valley.
